Websites · Custom AI systems

Tell me what you want built.

Describe it in your own words, pick a few times that suit, and I will ring you to work out whether it is worth building.

What I build

Two things I build.

Both are scoped on a call and quoted in writing. The examples below are the kind of thing I scope, not products on a shelf.

Websites

Written by hand for one business, built in your own hosting account, and handed over with the files.

The kind of thing I scope

  • A replacement for a site that no longer says what you actually do.
  • One clear page for a single service, answering the questions you get asked on the phone.
  • Moving a site off a page builder you rent, onto plain files you own.
How I build websites

Custom AI systems

Built around how your business already works, in your own accounts, on your own AI account and key. A person approves anything that goes out. Custom builds: for Desk and website clients only, quoted in writing from a one-page scope. Fixed price, nothing hourly. It lives in your accounts under your logins, and a person on your team signs off each deliverable at an acceptance test.

The kind of thing I scope

  • Routine paperwork, like job summaries or proposals, written up from your own notes and templates for a person to check.
  • A way for your team to ask questions of your own manuals, procedures and price lists, and see which document each answer came from.
  • Pulling the details out of forms, emails or PDFs you already receive into a spreadsheet or the system you already use, checked by a person before it is saved.

How it goes

From a call to something you own.

  1. First, a call

A free 20-minute call. You tell me what you want built and I ask the awkward questions. If I am not the right person for it, I will say so.

  2. A written scope and a fixed quote

What it will do, what it will not do, and one fixed price. Nothing starts until you have read it and said yes.

  3. Built in your own accounts

Your hosting, your domain, your AI account and key. You create the logins and I set them up, so every credential stays yours from the start.

  4. An acceptance test

We agree in writing what “finished” means before I start, then run that test together. If it does not pass, it is not finished, and I keep working.

  5. Handover: you own it

The files, the accounts, and a plain-English note on how it runs and how to change it. Stop working with me and you keep all of it. There is nothing of mine to unlock.

Straight lines

What I won’t do.

  • Build anything that sends messages on its own. A person approves every message before it reaches a customer.
  • Promise results. No rankings, leads, sales or savings figures. I will tell you exactly what it does, not what it will earn you.
  • Lock you in. It runs in your accounts, not mine, so there is nothing of mine to switch off.
  • Take on something I cannot do well. If it is not a good fit, you hear that on the call, before you have paid for anything.

Questions

Before you start.

What will it cost?

It is quoted after we talk, because it depends on what you want built. You get one fixed price in writing before anything starts. Custom builds: for Desk and website clients only, quoted in writing from a one-page scope. Fixed price, nothing hourly. It lives in your accounts under your logins, and a person on your team signs off each deliverable at an acceptance test. The budget question in the form is only there so I can scope it properly.

Who owns it?

You do. It is built in your own accounts: your hosting, your domain, your AI account and your key. You get the files and a handover note, and if we stop working together you keep all of it.

Where does my data go?

What you type in this form goes to my inbox. Netlify, which hosts this site, also stores it and runs a spam check (Akismet), and once we are talking it may be copied into my CRM. When I build something for you, your business data stays in your own accounts. The privacy policy has the detail, including how to have it deleted.

What happens after I send this?

I read it myself and reply on what you gave. If you picked call times, I confirm one of them, or suggest another if none of them work. If you picked none, I reply on what you gave. If it is worth building, you get the written scope and a fixed quote.

Can I just call?

Yes. If you would rather I rang you, put your number in the form below and pick a time, or email me your number and a good time.

Times are Brisbane time (AEST). Queensland has no daylight saving, so in NSW, Victoria, Tasmania or the ACT over summer, add an hour. I confirm one time by reply.

This goes to Craig’s inbox. Netlify, the site’s host, stores a copy and runs a spam check (Akismet), and once we are talking it may go into my CRM (HubSpot). I use it to reply, to hold the call you asked for and to write the scope, and for nothing else unless you tick a box above. To have it deleted, ask. Privacy policy.
