How it works

How it works, from your file to a list you own

You will always know what comes next. Each step says what you get, what it costs in time or money, what comes next, and why you would take it. No written install quote goes out before I have read your file.

Ask for a free read. I email you the export steps for your software and two short terms to agree first.

Your file, start to finish

Sample data all the way through. Nothing on this page sends anything.

  1. 01 · What you export

    The file you already have

A spreadsheet export of your quotes or customers (ServiceM8, Tradify, simPRO and Xero can all export one), or one you keep yourself, as long as it has a mobile number column. It arrives the way exports do: the same customer twice with the number written two ways, someone who asked you to stop, an office landline.

  2. 02 · The free read

The counts, and a straight answer

I read the file myself and write back the counts from your own file, and a plain yes or no on whether anything is worth building. No names and no phone numbers.

  3. 03 · The Live Build

Ranked, with the reason beside each name

Ninety minutes on your real file. Every quote that went quiet is ranked into a call sheet, and beside each name is the reason it is there, in the words the software prints. It is a calling order, not a prediction. You keep it either way.

  4. 04 · The follow-up

From a template you approve. A person presses send.

Beside each name is a follow-up written from a template you approve. Nothing on the screen can send it. A person on your team reads it, changes what they want, and presses send from your own phone or email.

Follow-up for row 01, from your template

“Hi there, it’s Alex from Sample Trade Co. We quoted you a while back and I’m closing off the old ones. Did you end up getting it sorted, or is it still on the list? Reply STOP to opt out.”

You press send from your own phone or email.

  5. 05 · The install

In your own accounts, and you keep it

If you go ahead, THE DESK is installed in your own accounts, under your own logins. If we stop working together, you keep all of it.

The seven steps

  1. 01

    Ask

    What happens
You ask for a free read or request a call, through the form or by email.
    You get
    Me, not a queue.
    It costs
    Nothing.
    Next
If you asked for a free read, the email. If you asked for a call, I ring you.

Why step up: You find out whether this fits before anyone spends anything.

  2. 02

    The email

    What happens
I email you the export steps for your software and two short terms to agree. You agree to them before you send anything.
    You get
A plain list of what to export: a spreadsheet export of your quotes or customers (ServiceM8, Tradify, simPRO and Xero can all export one), or one you keep yourself, as long as it has a mobile number column.
    It costs
Reading one email, then the export.
    Next
    The free read.

Why step up: The read is free and it runs on your own file, not on a sales pitch.

  3. 03

    The free read

    What happens
    I read the file myself.
    You get
Send the file your quotes live in, under the data terms you agree before sending. I read it myself and write back the counts from your own file: how many went quiet, how many are duplicates, the total quoted on the quiet ones, and a plain yes or no on whether anything is worth building. No call needed. Your export is held for the read and deleted within 14 days; the date goes to you in writing.
    It costs
    Nothing.
    Next
A short call, if you want one.

Why step up: You know what is in your own file, whatever you decide.

  4. 04

    The call

    What happens
    A short call with me.
    You get
A plain answer on fit, the Live Build explained against your file, and the install price with the monthly figure beside it.
    It costs
    A short call.
    Next
    The Live Build, or no.

Why step up: Everything on the call is about your file.

  5. 05

    The Live Build

    What happens
Ninety minutes on your real file, at your office with your office person in the room if you like.
    You get
The ranked, tap-to-dial call sheet with the reason beside each name, the follow-up from a template you approve, and a one-page read. You keep the ranked list and the read either way.
    It costs
$1,200. Credited in full against the install if you accept the written install quote within 30 days of its issue date. If your file is unsuitable, I cancel at no charge. If I rang you first, no payment is taken and nothing starts until ten business days have passed.S03
    Next
My written install quote, or stop here.

Why step up: Trying it on your real file costs nothing extra if you go ahead.

  6. 06

    The install

    What happens
THE DESK is built into your own accounts, under your own logins. We write the acceptance test together and both sign it before I start.
    You get
The system, the templates, your do-not-contact list, training for your office, and a runbook written for your office manager.
    It costs
$4,900, or $3,700 after the Live Build credit. Half on signing, half when acceptance checks 1 to 5 are signed. If I rang you first, no payment is taken until ten business days have passed. Extra integrations are quoted in a separate written scope.
    Next
A handover meeting, then it is yours.

Why step up: “Done” is a signed document, not a memory of a conversation.

  7. 07

    You own it

    What happens
    Everything stays in your accounts.
    You get
Your accounts, logins, data, call sheet, templates and runbook, kept if we stop working together.
    It costs
Nothing more, unless you choose the Watch: $1,450 a month. It is about your install, not your inbox: I check every run myself, fix what breaks, make one wording change a month, and write a one-page counts note from your own log. Agreed in the same document as the install, never added later. Billed only once acceptance check 6 passes in your own account; until then there is no Watch fee. Four hours of my time a month; anything past that is agreed in writing first, at $181.25 per half hour. Month to month, 30 days’ notice either side, no exit fee.
    Next
    Nothing you did not choose.

Why it is optional: Declining the Watch changes nothing about what you own.

Why the ranked list waits for the Live Build

Your file decides what I recommend, so I will not put a number on your list before I have read it. The free read comes first, and it is counts only. The ranked list from your real file, with the reason beside each name, is what the Live Build is for, and you keep it either way.

Your file

Before you send anything, I email you the export steps for your software and two short terms to agree first.

The terms, plainly

  • Month to month after the install, 30 days’ notice either side. No auto-renewal.
  • The price only changes if you agree to it in writing. The one exception is the founding rate’s reference condition, set out in full in the price table below.
  • We write the acceptance test together and both sign it before I start. If it does not pass, it is not finished, and I keep working.
  • If you leave, every login and file is handed back at a handover meeting.
  • Nothing I charge is tied to a job or a sale, and I will not tell you what it will earn you, because I do not know and neither does anyone else selling you this.
  • The Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees apply to all of it, and nothing here limits them.

The Live Build$1,200. Ninety minutes on your real export. You keep the ranked tap-to-dial call sheet and the one-page read whether or not you go further. Credited in full against the install if you accept the written install quote within 30 days of its issue date. If your file is unsuitable, I cancel at no charge. If I rang you first, no payment is taken and nothing starts until ten business days have passed.
The install$4,900, or $3,700 after the Live Build credit. Installed in your own accounts under your own logins; you keep it if you leave. Follow-ups are prepared from a template you approve; a person on your team reads each one and presses send. Signed acceptance test and a handover runbook for your office person. Half on signing, half when acceptance checks 1 to 5 are signed. If I rang you first, no payment is taken until ten business days have passed. Extra integrations are quoted in a separate written scope.
The Watch (optional)$1,450 a month, if you choose it.
Founding rate, first three businessesThe founding rate, for the first three businesses: $2,400 for the install, all up. If you did the Live Build first, the $1,200 you paid for it counts toward that, so $1,200 remains. The standard install is $4,900. If you choose the Watch, it is $950 a month; the standard rate is $1,450. The $950 holds for as long as you stay, provided the written reference is given within 60 days of install acceptance; if it is not, nothing already paid changes, and the Watch moves to the standard rate only after 30 days’ written notice, which you may decline by ending the Watch. In exchange I ask for a written reference about how it went and permission to name your business. Any numbers in it are counts from your own file, never dollars won or jobs booked, and this trade is disclosed wherever the reference appears. The founding rate ends when three businesses have it or on 10 February 2027, whichever comes first. Pricing in AUD. SSJC Media Group is not registered for GST, so no GST is added.S15

No fee depends on a sale, a job or an appointment.

This is not for you if

  • Your list is bought, scraped or inherited. Your own enquiries, quotes and customers only, confirmed by you in writing.
  • You want it to send on its own with nobody reading it. That is not what I build, and I will not build it.
  • You want a promise about jobs or revenue. I will describe exactly what the system does. What it earns you is your business, and no fee of mine rides on it.
