Electrical: the switchboard, the charger and the downlights nobody rang back about

An electrical quote often goes out the same day you look at the job, and then the day fills up. A switchboard upgrade, a charger in the garage, a run of downlights through the house: the customer said they would think about it, and nobody rang back. Those names are still sitting in your file.

THE DESK works from the export you already have, as long as it has a mobile number column. It merges the same customer entered twice on their mobile number, sets aside anyone who has opted out or is on your do-not-contact list, and ranks the rest with the reason beside each name in the words the software prints. If you work on your own and your quotes live in your phone, request a call first and we will work out what to send.

Air conditioning: every quote from the busy months

Summer brings the enquiries. A split system for the main bedroom, a ducted quote for a renovation, a service call that turned into a replacement quote. While the weather is hot there is no time to ring anyone back, and by the time it cools down those quotes are months old and nobody has chased them.

Those quotes are still in your file, with a name and a mobile beside most of them. The free read writes back the counts from your own file: how many went quiet, how many are duplicates, the total quoted on the quiet ones, and a plain yes or no on whether anything is worth building. The Live Build then ranks every one that went quiet, with the reason beside it and a follow-up from a template you approve. A person in your office presses send.

Plumbing: hot water, bathrooms and the quotes waiting on someone else

Plumbing quotes go quiet for their own reasons. A hot water replacement quoted after an emergency callout, once the emergency was over. A bathroom rough-in waiting on the builder. A gas cooktop the customer wanted to price against the hardware store. None of them said no. They just stopped hearing from you.

The follow-up beside each name is written from a template you approve, names your business, and ends with a way to opt out. Nothing on the screen can send it. Whoever does the ringing or the texting in your office starts at the top of the list with the reason in hand, and presses send from your own phone or email.

Will my file work?

It runs on a spreadsheet export of your quotes or customers (ServiceM8, Tradify, simPRO and Xero can all export one), or one you keep yourself, as long as it has a mobile number column. If yours does not read cleanly, the free read says so. Nothing changes in the software you use now.

Every step, the terms and the prices are on How it works.
